Situational Leadership is a concept that has been around since the late 1960s, when it was developed by Paul Hersey and Tom Blanchard. Over the course of my career, I’ve seen dozens of visuals to represent the concept, but have found that the best framing brings together its purpose, how it’s conceptualized for team members, and how a manager can actually use it to align their engagement with their people to best support them.
